Michael McCoy

Marketing Director /
Acquisition & Growth

My Background

Acquisition is often the critical measurement to an organization's success, demanding a depth of skills and resources. A thoughtfully designed digital landscape is built from a conversion-focused foundation, and grows with a personalized experience at each marketing touchpoint. I have built my 11-year career in digital acquisition marketing, and have a passion for curating exactly this.

I have planned, executed and optimized thousands of campaigns for a variety of businesses, including those in the Fintech, Healthcare, Hospitality, Education, SaaS, Blockchain, Food, Automotive and Sports verticals. I am highly experienced in performance marketing and conversion optimization, working across both online and offline channels. Case Studies

Below are some of my most notable achievements. More details available upon request.

Aflac Insurance

As a Digital Media Director working on Aflac, my team improved onsite B2C lead conversions by 194% and B2B leads by 257% in a one-year period.

We did this by personalizing users’ first-time experience onsite and by implementing AI-driven cross-selling campaigns.

CrowdStreet

While working on CrowdStreet, a commercial real estate investing platform, I influenced a 62% year-over-year acquisition growth at a 90% improvement in efficiency.

This was achieved by prioritizing conversion-driving tactics and maintaining a test-and-learn approach to all marketing collateral.

Portland Trail Blazers

Integrated ticket/venue data with marketing tactics to activate highly personalized paid media campaigns, which led to a 40% increase in ticket sales year-over-year.

This was a full-funnel integration that helped target new prospects as well as re-engaging past customers.

Mimi's Cafe

Utilized sales and traffic data, customer engagement, customer satisfaction and third-party competitive intelligence data to create a highly-integrated marketing program.

This led to a 189% increase in ROI among the 145 locations targeted for this test.

NEAR Protocol

Rebuilt paid social acquisition and engagement campaigns using a test-and-learn approach, leading to a 52% drop in average cost-per-follower and an 81% drop in cost-per-engagement.

This new architecture was pivotal in capturing highly engaged users that were not being targeted in its previous state.
